Puffins are the most popular birds for holiday makers to Annie's Place. Everyone hopes to see them on the Brough of Birsay and we were very successful a few nights ago, crossing immediately on the turn of the tide when the tidal path had only about an inch of seawater covering it.

Puffins were clearly visible on the cliffs and not perturbed by the late disturbance of our visit. Our grandaughters were with us and just thrilled to sit and watch....though we did have to quietly remind them of the dangers of going too close to the edge....a temptation when such wonderful puffin views might look even better an inch or two closer! NO! and NO again!

Look at photos and enjoy!
