WorldHost certificateOctober 1st tomorrow, and our first  season of self catering accommodation at Annie’s Place in Orkney is coming to a glowing end with sunsets over Birsay Bay every evening for the past week. Silver seals glisten out on the rocks and a multitude of starlings chirrup in the warmth on every Birsay rooftop, excited to find they are “king of the castle” now that the seabirds have left their summer nesting grounds.

It’s time to thank all our summer visitors for leaving Annie’s Place in the excellent condition in which they found it.  As cleanliness,  comfort and a friendly welcome are our top priorities, we have been gratified that our guests have appreciated this; their comments indicate they have been delighted with their choice of Annie’s Place for an Orkney self catering holiday.

In July Annie’s Place  became one of the first self catering businesses in Orkney to achieve WorldHost recognition for excellent customer service: WorldHost provides training in customer service and aims for high quality customer experience – something which is not always guaranteed by advertising or Internet recommendations.

At Annie’s Place we go the extra mile, for example, by providing in a three star accommodation,  freshly ironed, quality bed linen and towels, a welcome breakfast hamper, comfortable leather chairs, and free Wifi. That extra mile has even been known to include escorting foreign right-hand drivers along the island roads from Stromness ferry to Annie’s Place in Palace, Birsay.
