There are a range of places for eating out while on holiday in Orkney and information about these can be found on the orkney.com website. The restaurants listed are good to excellent.
Orkney is famous for its quality meat and fish; most finds its way to top London restaurants but also can be bought in local shops in Kirkwall and Stromness for cooking in Annie's Place.
The Birsay Bay tearoom is a few minutes walk up the road and provides great lunches with baking and afternoon high teas until approximately 16.00hrs. The tearoom does taking bookings using the link on their Facebook page but you can also call in and see if they have free tables, especially in the less busy holiday times.
Finally, our village shop, Palace Stores, provides plenty of items, including ready made meals, for cooking in Annie's Place. Many guests comment positively on their ever changing range of home made lunch items which are available throughout the day.
