April is a wonderful month for an Orkney visit to Annie's Place on Birsay Bay

A magical week in beautifully comfortable well situated accommodation with really lovely hosts; I felt on departure that I was saying goodbye to friends of many years standing not just a few days. Everything was perfect, thank you, and I look forward to returning.

This was our 2nd stay at Annie’s Place & it was just as good as the 1st. Lovely accommodation, right by the sea with views to the Borough of Birsay and Marwick Head too. Wonderful places for watching seabirds & seals. Robin & Anne are the perfect hosts.

Think it’s the best location to stay on mainland Orkney. Beautiful village Birsay & the walking around the area is fantastic! Accommodation was perfect for us with a dog and access to the beach just a step away. Lovely hosts Anne & Robin- extremely helpful & caring.

As always my stay at Annie’s Place has been a delight. You have everything needed for comfort and total relaxation. The shoreline is ever changing but always captivating whatever the weather. I never tire of the various walks from the door. Looking forward to next year already. Thank you.

Anne and Robin were very friendly and helpful. The cottage was cozy and comfortable. The location is brilliant, close to the sea and near the Earl’s Palace. You can go for walks from the cottage and there’s plenty of wildlife to see.

A very welcome return visit to Annie's Place & the equally lovely hosts, Anne & Robin. Thanks to them, we enjoyed a new walk - always a good thing! Annie's Place doesn't disappoint, it's comfortable with all that is needed for a relaxing holiday in a special place.

Lovely cosy flat in a gorgeous situation with the sea just over the garden wall. Well equipped and the Wi-Fi is good, no phone signal from inside. Anne and Robin are welcoming and helpful. Lovely sunsets to be seen when conditions permit.

Even though I return often the feeling of warmth when I enter Annie’s Place is still a joy and I instantly relax. The flat is exceptionally comfortable and the walks from the door are a constant pleasure whatever the weather. It is always hard to say goodbye to Anne and Robin and leave the peace and beauty - until next year!!

This was my fourth visit to Annie’s Place and despite the disappointing weather it was good to be back, to enjoy the warm welcome from Anne and Robin, the cosy and well-equipped flat, the sea just at the end of the lovely garden, my favourite walk round to the Whalebone, the Brough of Birsay at low tide, the peace of Orkney.

Anne and Robin are friendly and welcoming and provide lots of local info and recommendations. Cottage is in ideal location near the shore with easy access. Cottage itself is warm, comfortable, provides the ideal place to explore the island.

Walking into Annie’s Place always feels like coming home.

You provide every home comfort and more. It is no wonder that I will be returning again soon.

Anne and Robin were there to greet me and ensure Annie's Place had everything I needed and to let them know if I required anything just to let them know. Both were full of local knowledge and happy to give as little or as much information on places to visit and things to do during my stay. Nothing seemed like a chore the pride in what they do and the want for guests to have the best stay was evident.

An excellent facility all around. Easy access to walking area for the dog first and last thing. Comfortable, well maintained and well provided accommodation. Very friendly, informative and helpful owners close by to answer any queries. Couldn't better the experience.

We had another wonderful stay at Annie’s Place. The location is of course perfect but then again so is the quality of the accommodation and the helpfulness of hosts Anne and Robyn. We will be back.

This was my second visit and I have two more booked! Direct access to the sea from the end of the garden of this lovely, comfortable ground floor apartment is a huge plus, you can walk along the coastline from the front door. It was lovely to arrive on the late ferry and be greeted by a well heated and cosily lit home from home and a warm welcome from Anne and Robin.
